Summary of the presentation
The strategy about which will be spoken during this presentation is based on future developments which in all probability are about to happen. Obviously it is impossible to outline a fully picture of the future, however there are some recognizable trends. For a Test Manager it means adjusting the strategy which is used within a test project.

On a higher level, world wide that is, particularly due to globalisation financial organisations will be taken over or merge. Management regarding compliancy (SOx and Basel II) will be intensified. From an European point of view comprehensive projects, like SEPA, will be playing a big part. And not to mention the predicted shortages of staff.
At the same time technological developments, and the arising techniques, will assume proportions. Some examples are SOA, biometrics and nanotechnology.

In this presentation I will indicate how to anticipate on these developments. No question about it: these trends have their effect on a lower, company wide, level and effects the test strategies in the end as well. Merging for example could mean a quicker time-to-market. So should we involve testing as early as possible within the main project? Do we have to treat the test project separately from the main project in case of testing compliancy like we do in an audit? In case of the predicted shortages of staff do we have to choose for outsourcing or offshoring? How do we walk in step with coming technologies?
