• Traceability, Essential Capability to Support Software Project Quality

If traceability is considered as “the degree to which a relationship can be established between two or more products of the development process” and it is assumed that evolution is the natural state of a software development process, then, not considering evolution of the traceability throughout the development life cycle could jeopardize the project quality and, therefore, the project itself.
Considering the traceability between software products in the specific timeframe without taking into account its history could be a simplistic strategy approach to this essential issue, associated to software quality and project success.
The conference will introduce traceability from a theoretic perspective. Following this briefing practical aspects, such as possible strategies to deploy traceability and their consequences will be featured in detail.
